Woke up with the Pink Floyd song Learning to Fly in my head (video, lyrics) and created this digital collage to honor that fragment.

Dreaming Tip: Even if you don’t remember a complete dream in the morning, pay attention to whatever is in your head when you awaken. The imagery evoked by this song has left me wondering where I’m feeling imprisoned instead of flying freely.

Dream: Golden Bloom Fish

Dream 8/19/12

In a dry, barren landscape there are people lying on mounds of sand. I can’t be certain whether they are even alive. One of them, a child, rolls over and looks at me. A graceful golden fish emerges from a cactus blossom. The petals become the flowing tail of the fish. I am amazed at the brilliant resilience of this – how the fish has found the only water for miles around deep within the heart of the cactus.
