SoulCollage® – Community Suit – Mom

Mom_CommunitySuit

I am the one who gave birth to you. Even when I worried too much, I loved you. Worry less. Love more.

I blessed you with the gift of dreams. You understand them better than I ever did. Remember to dream. Remember to listen.

I left my home in Quebec, but carried it always in my heart – and in my accent! Never forget your roots.

I am one who loved to dance, to skate and to drive my beautiful blue Mustang. Remember to dance and always enjoy the ride.

My Peetie-birds brought me joy with their songs and silly antics. But they need to be let out of their cages to be happy. Don’t cage yourself up – I want you to fly.

I am one who loved roses – their beauty and their heavenly scent. Life is a gift – don’t let the thorns stop you from smelling the roses.

I am one who began to collect teddy bears late in life. I took one out with me wherever I went. No matter how old you are, there will still be a child inside. Take care of her.

I am one who loved the color turquoise. Whenever you wear turquoise, remember me.

I am one who found peace in knitting, who was soothed by the repetitive, familiar motions and stimulated by the act of creativity. Never stop creating – it brings you to life! Wrap yourself in one of my hand-knit scarves when you miss me and know that I love you always.

Thank you, Semora. Yes, the SoulCollage(r) process fits so well with our CJEA work. I have been using SoulCollage(r) with a client to create Inner Family cards – she is finding the process very cathartic and healing.
